Sporting Kansas City held their annual media on Tuesday evening just ahead of Sporting KC’s reserve side friendly with Rockhurst University, and who do you think was there to cover the event and snag a handful of really awesome interviews? Yeah, Talkin’ Touches‘ very own Andy Edwards.
Andy sat down with the face and voice, play-by-play man Callum Williams to not only talk about Saturday’s 1-0 season opening-victory over DC United, but also continue preview coverage for the entire 2012 season. When you’re stuck in a booth to call a game, you only get 90 minutes to talk, and maybe sometimes you can’t get everything out that you’d like to, so that’s what we allow Cal to do. Also, questions about the typical British stereotypes are cleared up on the show; this may be of more importance than anything else.
Next up, a pair of recent United States National Team men – Graham Zusi and CJ Sapong sit down for a pair of at-length, very candid interviews about how things have changed for them since March 2011, their first call-ups to the national team in January, whether or not each could potentially move across the pond to Europe (SPOILER ALERT: the answer is yes, but when?), and Zusi gives his stamp of approval on the “Samurai” nickname. Now, somebody just get the man a sword.
